This cozy café invites visitors to savor some of Portugal’s beloved flavors in a setting that feels both local and welcoming.
The menu highlights the simplicity and freshness that define Café do Largo’s appeal. The Jus d’Orange Pressé Frais bursts with vibrant citrus notes, perfectly balancing natural sweetness and tang, making it an ideal refreshment on a warm day. Their Beignet À la Crème is a luscious treat—light, airy fritters filled with a creamy center that melts delicately on the tongue, leaving a satisfaction that’s comforting yet indulgent. For those seeking something refreshing to accompany their bite, the Eau Pétillante is a crisp, sparkling water that elevates the palate.
What makes Café do Largo truly special is its location and atmosphere. Situated just steps away from the historic Nazaré Sanctuary and the charming local noria (ferris wheel), the café’s terrace offers a peaceful spot to pause and soak in the ambiance of traditional Portuguese life. Customers have praised the café for providing “real Portuguese coffee” and some of the best toast they encountered during their travels. While the service is straightforward and unpretentious, it suits the café’s relaxed vibe perfectly.
Visitors like Maria Diaz appreciate the café’s perfect setting for a leisurely coffee and toast, while Jorge R. highlights the quality of the snacks—particularly the local chicken options—and the refreshing beer selection. Despite its popularity, the café remains a friendly and genuine spot that exudes charm rather than touristy kitsch. Parking can be a bit tricky, so planning ahead is advised to fully enjoy the nearby sights alongside your café visit.
For anyone visiting Nazaré, Café do Largo is more than just a quick pitstop; it’s a small journey into Portuguese café culture, a place where simple things are done well and the local flavors are celebrated with heartfelt sincerity.
Bien para tomar un cafelito con tostada...al lado de una pequeña plaza donde esta el santuario y la noria
Honestly didn’t expect to find a real Portuguese café tucked away between all the tourist traps — cheap and tasty! The toast was some of the best we’ve had on our trip so far. The toilets weren’t the cleanest, especially on a busy tourist day — but honestly, what do people expect?
The coffee is very good, the typical chicken stuff for snack was also good. The beer was good. Service staff is the standard. The terrace is just around the Nazaret Santuary. Parking around might be difficult. So try park on the surround.
Nice place to stop for a Coffee in Nazare. We also tried the natas and have a nice time there. Close by the view spot of the beach and the square downtown
